Your Feature on Alzheimer’s disease research in China notes that a surgical technique called deep cervical lymphatic venous anastomosis (dcLVA) is being tested globally as a potential treatment (see Nature 650, 816–818; 2026). It aims to improve drainage from the ‘glymphatic system’, which is thought to clear cellular waste from the brain — including the amyloid-β plaque protein that is a hallmark of Alzheimer’s (S. A. Keil et al. Science 389, eadv8269; 2025).
