As the Cannes Film Festival returns to the Croisette, Kering will once again host the annual Women in Motion Conversations series, in partnership with Variety, spotlighting some of the industry’s most influential actors and filmmakers for intimate discussions around artistry, storytelling and the evolving entertainment landscape. The talks are part of Kering’s ongoing Women in Motion initiative, launched in 2015 to celebrate women in cinema both in front of and behind the camera.
Kicking things off on Thurs, May 14, Emmy-winning actress and comedian Hannah Einbinder will discuss her upcoming film, “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma,” offering insight into her creative voice and rapidly rising career.
On Friday, May 15, Jordana Brewster will take the stage for a conversation celebrating the 25th anniversary of “The Fast and the Furious,” reflecting on the franchise’s lasting cultural impact and her role within one of Hollywood’s most enduring series.
On Saturday, May 16, Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore will appear ahead of receiving the 2026 Women in Motion Award presented by Kering and the Festival de Cannes. Moore will reflect on her acclaimed career, the artistic choices and convictions that have guided her work, and her belief in cinema as a space for responsibility and meaningful progress.
On Tuesday, May 19, Academy Award-winning actor Rami Malek and filmmaker Ira Sachs will appear together to discuss their creative partnership on the queer drama, “The Man I Love.” The special conversation underlines the Women in Motion program’s mission to champion all underrepresented stories and storytellers.
Since its launch, Kering’s Women in Motion has become a major platform at Cannes, bringing together leading voices across film and entertainment to discuss representation, inclusion and the future of storytelling. Previous participants have included Nicole Kidman, Dakota Johnson and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
The Women in Motion Talks are invitation only and will be moderated by Variety’s Angelique Jackson. The talks will appear on Variety.com and its social media accounts, as well as live on Kering’s social media accounts under the official hashtag, #WomenInMotion.
