Paris-based firm Entourage Ventures has forged a strategic agreement with Italy’s Mediawan-owned Our Films – which is at Cannes as producer of Paweł Pawlikowski’s “Fatherland” – to invest in films that they produce in partnership with global streamer Mubi.
The partnership expands the three-year co-production, financing and distribution agreement inked in 2025 between Rome-based Our Films and Mubi. Under that deal, Mubi distributes the co-produced titles in key territories; while The Match Factory, the prominent international sales company owned by Mubi, handles world sales.
Entourage Ventures, which is run by Julien Delajoux and Matthias Nicodème is currently co-investing with Mediawan’s global distribution arm in international productions.
“The new arrangement between Our Films and Entourage Ventures is designed to provide additional financial structuring and investment capacity for auteur-driven films with global ambitions, supporting projects from their earliest stages,” according to a statement.
Our Films was launched in 2024 by Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Mieli, the award-winning Italian producer duo behind “The Young Pope” and “My Brilliant Friend.” Their more recent titles, under the Our Films Banner, include “Feel My Voice,” the Italian adaptation of France’s “La Famille Bélier” and Marco Bellocchio’s TV series “Portobello” broadcast globally on HBO Max.
Two current projects on their slate already reflect the Our Films–Mubu collaboration: Pawlikowski’s “Fatherland,” which stars Sandra Hüller and August Diehl and bows in competition at Cannes on Thursday, and Felix van Groeningen’s “Let Love In,” starring Luca Marinelli and Charlotte Vandermeersch.
“Entourage Ventures is a strategic partner for Mediawan, and we are very pleased to see them join a partnership that combines creativity with strong financial backing and a level of ambition in line with the Our Films–MUBI collaboration,” said Mediawan’s chief content officer Elisabeth d’Arvieu in a statement.
Commented Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Mieli “We are delighted to deepen our relationship with Entourage Ventures. Their investment and financial expertise will help us support ambitious auteur projects at the highest level, giving filmmakers the resources and confidence to build films with real international reach.”
“This agreement marks a new step in our collaboration with Mediawan,” noted Delajoux and Matthias.
“Alongside Our Films, we are involved from the earliest stages in structuring financing and supporting projects that meet the highest standards, together with the best partners and most renowned producers, reflecting our ambition in the industry.”
