Persol and Brooklyn Bridge Park have announced a partnership to present Movies With A View, the park’s long-running free outdoor film series, for its 26th season this summer.

The series, which draws thousands of New Yorkers to the Brooklyn waterfront each week for screenings against a backdrop of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline, will run Thursday evenings from July 2 through August, with a family film night on Friday, Sept. 18. Gates open at 6 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis; screenings begin at sunset. The full film lineup will be announced in early June.

For Persol, the partnership is a natural extension of the brand’s ties to cinema. Its frames have been worn on screen by Marcello Mastroianni in “La Dolce Vita” and “Divorce Italian Style”, Steve McQueen in “The Thomas Crown Affair,” and Jude Law in “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” among others.

“Cinema has always been central to Persol’s identity — not only through the iconic figures who have worn our frames on screen, but through the shared values of craftsmanship, character, and timeless style,” Valentina Cerchiari, senior marketing director at EssilorLuxottica North America, said in a statement. “Partnering with Brooklyn Bridge Park for Movies With A View allows us to bring that legacy into a contemporary cultural setting, connecting Persol’s Italian heritage with one of New York City’s most beloved summer traditions.”

Throughout the series, the brand plans on-site activations drawing on its Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, which is themed around the Italian Riviera. The campaign is centered on three key styles —
PO8001S, PO8002S, and PO8003V — which meld the brand’s signature technical elements, including a newly developed bolt engraved with the iconic “P,” alongside an enhanced fit and reimagined temple design. You can shop the full lineup here.

Brooklyn Bridge Park, a nonprofit that stretches 1.3 miles along the East River waterfront, relies on revenue from tenants and partnerships to fund its operations. The park hosts more than five million visitors annually. Movies With A View has been a fixture of New York City summers since 2001.
